Jesse William Harrell
Jesse William Harrell, 30, died at the Whitman County Jail on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026. According to the Spokesman-Review, a corrections officer found him unconscious in his cell during rounds, and the officer and responding medics tried to save him. The Whitman County Coroner's Office first said his cause and manner of death were under investigation, and a later report by the same paper says the office ruled his death a suicide by ligature hanging. The Dailyfly News reported that the coroner, Annie Pillers, said the cause and manner were still under investigation.
