Jesse Whiting
Jesse Whiting, a 61-year-old man, died on October 14, 2016, while held at a prison in Anderson County, Texas. A Texas Office of the Attorney General custodial death report lists the death as occurring in state prison custody. In February 2018, a grand jury in Anderson County indicted a medical worker employed by the University of Texas Medical Branch on a charge of criminally negligent homicide, alleging she failed to provide reasonable medical care to him. That indictment is an allegation that has not been tested in court.
