Jerusalem Festes Grimes, 45, died on January 16, 2014, while held at the Dallas County Jail in Alabama. According to the Dallas County Sheriff and District Attorney, he died by apparent hanging, which officials classed as suicide. The Alabama Bureau of Investigation investigated the death. Reports say he had been in the jail for five days, and that it was the first death inside the jail in many years.
