Jerry Wilson Jr.
Jerry Wilson Jr., 26, was critically injured in a fight at Turbeville Correctional Institution in Clarendon County, South Carolina, on the afternoon of May 18, 2023. According to the South Carolina Department of Corrections, he was stabbed during the fight and taken to a local hospital, where he died; Clarendon County Coroner Jacqueline Blackwell said he died at 1:30 p.m. The corrections department's Inspector General's Office, the coroner and the State Law Enforcement Division are investigating the death as a homicide. An autopsy was scheduled.
