Jerry Michael Lee
Jerry Michael Lee, of Jackson, lived at New Way Transitional Facility in Magee, a community housing program in Simpson County, Mississippi. Investigators said another resident struck him with a chair on October 10, 2026, and kept assaulting him after he lost consciousness. He was flown to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he died of his injuries. The Simpson County Sheriff's Office describes the death as a homicide, and the Mississippi Medical Examiner's Office has yet to complete an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
