Jerry Forsyth, 74, died at the Montana State Prison on April 8, 2020. The prison's public information officer, Amy Barton, said he died after an extended illness that was not related to COVID-19. A relative said she felt relief after a long wait to hear the news and wished her parents had lived to see it. The Daily Inter Lake and the Flathead Beacon both reported the death the following day.
