Jerry Aleman, 41, died on June 9, 2021, while held at the George F. Bailey Detention Facility in San Diego County, California. Lt. Thomas Seiver said a preliminary drug screen detected fentanyl. Seiver said the death was being investigated as possibly drug-related. Paramedics pronounced Aleman dead at the scene.
