Jerrod Irv-Low Washington, 37, of Danville, died on May 10, 2019, while he was held at the Danville City Jail in Virginia. According to Danville Sheriff Mike Mondul, a deputy heard banging in a dormitory housing unit in the early hours of that Friday morning and found him unresponsive. He died at a hospital, and the sheriff's office said he had pre-existing health issues. The cause of death is pending, and his body was sent to the Medical Examiner's Office in Roanoke for autopsy.
