Jerome Tavolino died at the Monroe County Jail in New York on November 14, 2012. The New York Division of Criminal Justice Services classed his death as a suicide. A 2015 Democrat and Chronicle report said state investigators raised fewer concerns about his death than about some other deaths at the jail.
