Jerome Lamont Reed
Jerome Lamont Reed, 38, was held at the William Donaldson Correctional Facility in Bessemer, Alabama. On May 7, 2025, he was found unresponsive in his single-person cell and was pronounced dead about an hour later at the facility, according to WBMA. The Jefferson County Coroner/Medical Examiner's Office said a postmortem found no evidence of trauma or foul play. The final cause of death is pending laboratory studies.
