Jeremy Nobis
Jeremy Nobis, 52, was a freeskier and alpine skier who qualified for the U.S. Ski Team as a teenager and competed at the 1994 Winter Olympics, and friends and teammates praised him after his death. He died on April 19, 2023, at the Iron County Correctional Facility in Cedar City, Utah, where he was being held; jail staff said they found him unresponsive in his cell. The Iron County Critical Incident Task Force is investigating the death and said it did not suspect foul play.
