Jeremiah Rodriguez
Jeremiah Rodriguez died on January 14, 2015 while in the custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, according to a custodial death report filed by the state. A Texas Office of the Attorney General report lists his death as occurring in prison custody in Ector County. Another account says he was 35 and was being transported on a prison bus that left Interstate 20 near Penwell and collided with a moving train that day. The National Transportation Safety Board found that the bus lost control after striking damaged guardrail, and ten people on the bus died in the crash.
