Jennifer Brooks, 46, died on March 1, 2018, while held at the Jefferson County Detention Facility in Golden, Colorado, where she was in pretrial custody. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office, she was found unresponsive in her cell early that morning. She was pronounced dead at St. Anthony Hospital. The coroner had not yet determined the cause of death, and the sheriff's office said the death was under investigation.
