Jeffrey Williams
Jeffrey Williams, 53, of Raeford, died on July 12, 2021, while held at the Cumberland County Detention Center in North Carolina. The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said he was found unresponsive in his single-person cell on a Monday afternoon and was pronounced dead. Sheriff Ennis Wright said an investigation is underway, and the North Carolina Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death. No cause or manner of death has been established so far.
