Jeffrey Wayne Burgay
Jeffrey Wayne Burgay, 51, of Nacogdoches, was held at the Nacogdoches County Jail. According to KLTV, a jail staff member found him hanging in his cell during a routine check on February 7, 2024, and EMS took him to an area hospital, where he died on February 9. A Texas Rangers report, cited in a Texas Attorney General's Office custodial death report, ruled his death a suicide.
