Died in jail or a lockup
Jeffrey Pope
Jeffrey Pope, 30, died on March 1, 2024, while held at the Travis County Jail in Texas. He was found unresponsive in his housing unit on a Thursday evening, and he was taken to a local hospital, where he died the next morning. An autopsy was conducted, but no cause or manner of death had been released when FOX 7 Austin reported on the case, and the Texas Office of the Attorney General's custodial death report lists no cause or manner either.
