Jeffrey Lundgren
Jeffrey Lundgren was executed by lethal injection at the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility on October 24, 2006. In his final statement he professed his love for God, his family, his children and his wife Kathy. His lawyers argued that the execution could be more painful because he was diabetic and overweight, and that he should be allowed to join a lawsuit challenging Ohio's lethal injection method. The federal appeals court, the U.S. Supreme Court and the governor all declined to stop the execution.
Cause of death, as reported: Executed by the state. Lawyers argued the execution could be more painful because he was diabetic and overweight, and that he should be allowed to join a lawsuit challenging Ohio's lethal injection method.
