Jeffrey Borden
Jeffrey Borden, 57, was held at the William C. Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore, Alabama. The Alabama Department of Corrections said he died by suicide in his cell around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 3, 2018, and that his remains were sent to the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences. A ruling by U.S. District Judge Myron Thompson says he had been diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder and that no life-saving measures were attempted after he was found. The ruling's account of the response is not the department's account, and the two accounts are not reconciled in the sources.
