Jeffery Michael Hall
Jeffery Michael Hall died at Limestone Correctional Facility in Alabama on March 29, 2024, according to the Alabama Department of Corrections, which said he was found unresponsive in his cell less than 12 hours after being moved to another dorm and was pronounced dead by the attending physician. The department says the cause is pending an autopsy and an internal investigation, and that he had been under chronic care for an ongoing medical condition. His wife, Lisa Hall, said he had some medical problems but nothing serious that she knew of that would have killed him. His wife and attorney Lauren Faraino have called for an external investigation, citing his reported role as a source for the U.S. Department of Justice and their distrust of the department.
Cause of death, as reported: Cause not yet determined (disputed). The Alabama Department of Corrections says he had a chronic medical condition and the cause awaits an autopsy, but his wife Lisa Hall disputes that account and his attorney Lauren Faraino has called for an external investigation.
