Jed Collatz
Jed Collatz, 49, died on February 28, 2022, while held at the Box Elder County jail in Utah. Jail deputies found him in distress in his locked cell during a safety check, and he died at the jail, though deputies and medical staff began treatment before paramedics arrived. Police and the Box Elder County Sheriff's Office said a preliminary investigation found his death was caused by suicide. The Northern Utah Critical Investigative Team is investigating his death.
