Jaydrekus Hart
Jaydrekus Hart was held at Smith State Prison in Glennville, Georgia, when he died on October 18, 2026. The Georgia Department of Corrections said he fatally shot a food service worker in the prison kitchen, then shot himself, and that he was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Officials said the two had a personal relationship and that a note believed to be his was found at the scene.
