Jauwon Antonio Allen
Jauwon Allen, 36, was held at the Wichita Work Release Facility in Kansas, a community corrections setting. The Kansas Department of Corrections said he was placed on escape status after he failed to return on the night of August 13, 2026. Agents traced him to a home in southwest Wichita, and after they announced themselves they heard a single gunshot inside; officers entered and found him dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
