Jason Rice

Jason Rice, 47, died on January 6, 2026, while held at the Greensboro Detention Center in Greensboro, North Carolina. The Guilford County Sheriff's Office said staff found him unresponsive in the facility, and EMS crews pronounced him dead there. The sheriff's Major Crimes Unit and the medical examiner are investigating, and the cause and manner of death have not been announced. Officials said he had been held there for several months.
