Jason Nathaniel Turnbull
Jason Nathaniel Turnbull, 23, of Brighton, died on January 13, 2016, at the Saginaw Correctional Facility in Freeland, Michigan. Michigan State Police said he was strangled by his cellmate after an argument, and staff responded to an alert around 9:30 p.m. and found him unresponsive; he was later pronounced dead. Earlier reports described the death as an assault by a cellmate, and the other man was not named until he was charged. He later pleaded no contest to second-degree murder, according to the Detroit Free Press.
