Jason McCoy
Jason McCoy, 46, died at the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center in Albuquerque on February 2, 2026. The detention center said a corrections officer found him in distress around 4:18 a.m., and he was pronounced dead at 5:09 a.m. The Bernalillo County Sheriff's Office and the facility's Office of Professional Standards are investigating, and the state Office of the Medical Investigator will determine the cause of death.
