Jason Martin

27 years old · died January 25, 2015 · Dededo Precinct, Dededo, Guam

Jason Martin, 27, was described by his aunt, Linda Edward, as her nephew. He was found unconscious in a holding cell at the Dededo Precinct on Guam and was pronounced dead at Guam Memorial Hospital. Chief medical examiner Dr. Aurelio Espinola ruled the cause asphyxia due to hanging, and police said the death appeared to be a suicide. His family says they still lack answers, were denied access to precinct surveillance footage during an internal affairs investigation, and want the police department to help with expenses, along with a final viewing before he is buried in Pohnpei.
