Jason Craig Smith
Jason Craig Smith, 34, of Athens, was found dead in his bunk at the Limestone County Jail on October 17, 2008. The Limestone County coroner, Mike West, said an autopsy found he died of an aortic tear. Sheriff Mike Blakely said Smith had numerous medical conditions and asked the district attorney's office to investigate the death. Court documents listed Smith as disabled.
