Jasen Shane Busby
Jasen Shane Busby, 28, was executed by lethal injection in Huntsville, Texas. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice recorded his death as August 25, 2004, while a KLTV report dated it August 26, 2004, and that report said the U.S. Supreme Court had rejected his final appeal hours earlier. In his last statement he apologized to the families involved and said he was ready, and he thanked his family for standing by him. According to KLTV, his mother and younger brother sang church hymns aloud while the injection was given, and the family left the chamber composed.
