Died in jail or a lockup
Janette Navarro
Janette Navarro, 28, died in her cell at the St. Joseph County Jail in Indiana in the early morning hours of July 13, 2025. Staff found her unresponsive, and life-saving efforts were attempted before she was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said no foul play is suspected at this time, and the Indiana State Police have taken over the investigation. The cause and manner of her death are still pending.
