Jamie Marcum
Jamie Marcum, 44, of Greenfield, died on December 8, 2023, while held at Mansfield Correctional Institution in Ohio. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said he died from serious injuries sustained in an assault by another person held at the prison, and it is investigating the death as a homicide. The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction did not say how or where in the prison he was hurt. A release summary from the patrol is heavily redacted, and The Times Gazette reported that he was due to be released in January 2024.
