Jamie Lynn Russell, 33, was pregnant and went to a hospital in Pauls Valley in severe abdominal pain, and family friend Kemper Kimberlin said she was seeking help. After hospital staff asked police for help, officers took her to the Garvin County jail, where she was found unresponsive less than two hours later. The state medical examiner's office said she died of a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. The sheriff said jail staff could not have done more, while family friends blamed the hospital for her death.
