Jamicah Blackshire
Jamicah Blackshire, 38, of Kansas City, Missouri, died while held at the Jackson County Detention Center. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, jail staff found him unconscious in his cell around 6:15 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, and he was later pronounced dead. The Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control is investigating at the request of the Jackson County Sheriff's Office, and the cause and manner of death have not been determined.
