James Washington, 42, of Bridgeville, was held at the Allegheny County Jail when he lost consciousness during processing on Sunday, May 7, 2023, according to WPXI. The jail's account, as reported by CBS News, is that a corrections officer found him unresponsive during breakfast distribution and staff gave him four doses of Narcan while waiting for medical personnel. He was taken to UPMC Mercy Hospital, where he died the following evening, May 8, 2023.
