James Sonntag
James Sonntag, 47, worked as an information technology specialist and system administrator, and his wife described him as an involved dad who worked four jobs alongside his full-time IT work at a bank. He died on September 16, 2020, while held at Cook County Jail in Chicago. According to the Cook County sheriff's police, officers removed a cloth band from his neck and began lifesaving measures, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. The Cook County Medical Examiner ruled his death a suicide by hanging.
