James Robertson
James Robertson, 55, was the father of eight children, and his family said he had no known medical problems and had seemed well and brighter after his release. He died on February 25, 2023, in the Yazoo County jail, where a jail officer found him unresponsive in a cell and he was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Yazoo City. The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is examining the death, and the cause and manner have not been determined, with autopsy results pending. His family says the death looks suspicious and wants foul play ruled out.
