James Richard Horton
James Richard Horton, 44, died on August 17, 2023, after being held at the Lancaster County Detention Center in South Carolina. According to the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office, he was found unresponsive in his bed on a Sunday evening, taken to a medical facility by EMS, and died later in the week. Sheriff Barry Faile said he showed no signs of physical injury or assault, and the cause of his medical condition was not yet known.
