James Nicolson
James Nicolson died on May 18, 2015, while held at a private prison in Kentucky run by Corrections Corporation of America. The autopsy found that he died of a heart ailment but could not determine whether a beating he suffered at the prison on April 2 contributed to his death. Vermont corrections officials said CCA told them Kentucky State Police had been informed of the death, while police said they learned of it from a reporter.
