James Neil Tucker, 47, was executed in the electric chair in South Carolina on May 28, 2004, according to corrections officials. In his final statement he expressed remorse. He had withdrawn a pending appeal challenging the method of execution, so no appeals were pending at the time. Corrections officials said he was pronounced dead at 6:11 p.m.
