James Millet
James Millet, an 82-year-old man from Metairie, died on July 4, 2024, while in custody at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna. He had been hospitalized since June 18 with several illnesses, including congestive heart failure. The Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office said an autopsy found he died of natural causes.
