James J. Hodapp Jr.
James J. Hodapp Jr. was 31 years old and suffered from clinical depression, for which he needed prescription medication. He died on December 14, 2003, his birthday, after hanging himself from the bars of his cell at Lancaster County Prison, according to Lancaster Newspapers records. Those records say he had been placed on suicide watch five times before his death.
