James J. Daniels, 40, collapsed on the floor of the chow hall at the Sussex Community Corrections Center in Delaware in April 2016, where he was held. According to Delaware Board of Nursing findings, a nurse with Connections Community Support Services waited about 18 minutes before calling 911. He was pronounced dead at Beebe Medical Center. The board found substandard care and suspended the nurse's license for one year, and a hearing officer said the facility's policy on calling 911 was problematic.
