James Edwards Rogers
James Edwards Rogers, 41, was held at Bullock Correctional Facility in Union Springs, Alabama. The Alabama Department of Corrections said two other people held at the prison attacked him with makeshift knives in a dorm at about 2 p.m. on May 30, 2017. He was taken to the infirmary for emergency treatment and died soon after. The department said no motive for the attack is known.
