James Edwards Rodgers
James Edwards Rodgers, 41, died at the Bullock Correctional Facility near Union Springs, Alabama, in late May 2017, after he was stabbed with makeshift knives by two other people held at the prison. The Alabama Department of Corrections said he was treated in the infirmary but died soon after. The department said the two attackers will be charged with murder and that the motive is unknown. Reports give the date of the attack as either May 29 or May 30, 2017.
