Jack Jeffrey Murphy-Renzi
Jack Jeffrey Murphy-Renzi, 19, had been in the custody of the Forsyth County Detention Center in North Carolina since March 4, 2022. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office said that on the morning of Saturday, March 12, detention officers found him unresponsive in his cell and tried to save him, but he died. The cause and manner of death remain under investigation by the sheriff's office, the State Bureau of Investigation and the sheriff's professional standards division. Jack was held as a young man, and his death was reported to his family and the public through the sheriff's office.
