Jack Jeffery Murphy-Renzi
Jack Jeffrey Murphy-Renzi, 19, was held at the Forsyth County Detention Center in North Carolina from March 4, 2022. According to the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, detention officers found him unresponsive in his cell on the morning of Saturday, March 12, and tried to save him, but he died. The sheriff's office said it has opened an investigation into the cause of death, with the State Bureau of Investigation and its professional standards division also involved, and the cause and manner of death remain pending. Sheriff Bobby F. Kimbrough, Jr. extended prayers and condolences to the family.
