J. J. Hoover
J. J. Hoover was held in the jail at Fairplay, Colorado. Early on the morning of April 28, 1880, a mob took Hoover from that jail. The mob killed Hoover, according to a brief wire report printed in the Memphis Daily Appeal the next day.
