Issa Niambele
Issa Niambele, a 40-year-old man from Ukiah, died on October 30, 2024, after he was found unresponsive in a holding cell at the Mendocino County jail, according to the Mendocino County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said he had suffered a medical emergency and that he was pronounced dead at Adventist Health Ukiah Valley Emergency Department in the early hours of that day. The sheriff's office is investigating under its fatal incident protocol, and the coroner's unit is determining the cause and manner of death. A forensic autopsy has been completed, but official results are still pending.
