Ignacio Garcia, 32, died on June 5, 2023, while held at the Tulare County jail in California. CalMatters reported that he died of a fentanyl overdose in his jail cell. Deputies performed CPR and emergency medical crews arrived but could not revive him. His death was the second in the county's jails that year.
