Ian Biercuk
Ian Biercuk, 35, of Jamaica, Vermont, died on October 12, 2019, while held at the Franklin County Jail and House of Correction in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Sheriff's department staff found him unresponsive during a cell check and he was taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Sheriff Christopher Donelan said he appears to have died of a drug overdose and that the death is not considered suspicious. The Massachusetts State Police and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are investigating, and the medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.
