Hussein Abughazaleh
Hussein Abughazaleh, 26, was being held pretrial by Sacramento County, California, when he was taken to a hospital for a medical emergency in late January 2025. Doctors there gave him a grave prognosis, and a judge granted him compassionate release on Friday, February 7, 2025. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office said he died later that day, after he had left custody. The coroner had not announced a cause of death when the reporting was published.
